Basic Feltmaking 1-day workshop - begin at the beginning!
10.30am to 4.pm
Cost £25 plus a small charge for wools used*
On the Basic Feltmaking 1-day workshop you will make a flat piece of colourful felt which can be framed as a picture, made into a wall hanging or sewn into a cushion cover. You start off by learning about wool, where it comes from and some essential terms, before moving quickly on to the technique of wet felting - starting with a demonstration and then hands-on practice. After laying out, soaking, soaping and rolling your wool you will end up with your own piece of hand made felt fabric.
*"Wools used".. this usually comes to between £3 and £5 - it depends on how many colours you want! We use soft merino wools and you can choose from 22 fabulous colours

Nuno Scarves 1-day workshop - introducing the nuno technique

Cost £30 plus a small charge for wools used*
On this workshop you can make a fine floaty summer scarf or something a bit warmer for winter. The nuno technique uses a piece of very thin net material felted in to the wool so that the resulting fabric is fine and hangs like cloth but is strong and flexible. Again, this is an essential workshop if you want to go on to make felt clothing.Click here to book a place
Felt Hats 1-day workshop - chic, stylish, cosy or just mad felt hats!

Cost £35 plus a small charge for wools used*
You've seen my hats, now you can learn to make one too! You will learn to use a form to make your felt curve seamlessly into a 3 dimensional shape to fit your head. With a choice of 22 beautiful colours you can make the hat you always dreamed of but could never find in the shops! This workshop is suitable for people who have done the Basic Feltmaking workshop or have some previous experience in wet felting.Click here to book a place
